Okay so I did the Crossfit Kettlebell Instructors Course Level I in October and to be frank I now understand the concept of “Don’t worry about the weight the volume will sneak up and kill you.” I stopped counting at 1,250 reps. Two exercises included double kettlebells the Thruster (front squat into a push press) try that on sometime and the other is escaping me at the moment. I think “Thruster” and it makes me blank out. Kettlebell or Barbell – feel is different, but a squat and a push press ? Where’s the Cardio ?
I just completed the Crossfit Level I Trainer course and the HKC in a two week timeframe, with the flu.
Now I am going to amp the weight heavier and take the volume way down. My version of deloading, going to ridiculously low volume with heavy weights just to get some more strength then double back and build the volume up.
Todays Practice
Complex – DSW,DHP,DSN
2 x 1 complex w 40kg
DSN – 4 x 2 40kg, last set I added 5 SSP in.
Tactical Pull-up – more of chinner, but now practicing the Tactical Pull-up
4 x 1 with static hold over the bar
DSW – 1 x 5 40kg
I feel lazy, I want to do more but I know if I recover from the little bit I just did I’ll be stronger. “Be patient Comrade you have a long strength career ahead of you.”
Safety=Strength
